Kangaroo Valley Adventure Company offers guided and unguided outdoor adventure activities in Kangaroo Valley, NSW including canoeing, kayaking, bush walking, abseiling, rock climbing, platypus viewing and mountain biking. As a family-run business we offer a personalised experience that truly comes from practicing and living an environmentally aware lifestyle. We have over 22 years of outdoor adventure experience here on Kangaroo Valley and its surrounds.

Mike's Outdoor Experience

Mike Hayes, the owner of Wilderness Experience Training and the Kangaroo Valley Adventure Company, has been delivering outdoor adventure training experiences and corporate adventure programs in Kangaroo Valley since 1998.

Mike has a degree in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics and holds a Diploma of Outdoor Recreation. He has a particular passion for the amazing wildlife in Kangaroo Valley and is the ‘go to’ person when it comes to understanding the Valleys amazing platypus population.

Working with Sir David Attenborough

In 2001 Mike was blessed with a visit from Sir David Attenborough while the BBC were filming ‘The Life of Mammals – Monotremes’ documentary. The two bonded over their mutual love for rugby union and deep interest in Australian fauna.
